Applications & Miscellaneous

A large fraction of our glass micromachining and commercial offering is associated with the field of microfluidics, but we also fabricate a wide array of glass-based devices designed for other fields.  Our fused silica flexures are used in the aerospace, inertial guidance and telecommunication area. Our ion trap platforms are used for basic research, quantum simulations, and projected to find their way into quantum computers.  As for our microfluidic devices, while most of them are directed to applications concerned with biology, chemistry, or medicine, some are also used in the physical sciences for heat management and energy generation.
